What patients and caregivers need to know before they arrive
We are open for patient care, with some restrictions in place. If you have fever or symptoms of COVID-19, contact WCSC before your appointment. Women’s Cancer and Surgical Care is screening patients and employees for COVID-19 symptoms at entrance to all of our facilities. We know the important role that support systems play in our patients’ lives. Loved ones are an integral part of the care team.
Protection against respiratory illnesses
Our experts say you can protect yourself from respiratory infections by:
- Refraining from touching your eyes, nose or mouth with unwashed hands.
- Washing your hands often for at least 20 seconds with soap and water or using an antiseptic hand gel.
- Avoiding crowded areas and sick people.
- Wearing a mask.
We now have a new telemedicine program for our patients to help you stay home while getting care. All you need is a smart phone or computer with email. We will give you more information when you call us to schedule: 505-559-4495.
In order to prepare you for this visit, we need to know if you have a laptop or desktop computer with a camera and microphone. An alternative could be a cell phone with a program such as What’s up, Google Duo/Hangouts video, Skype or Apple Face Time. Your health information will be encrypted and manage with the outmost confidentiality.
