What to do BEFORE your surgery?
- Follow your preoperative Instructions included in your packet. For any questions please call our Surgical Coordinator at 505-559-4495 ext. 321. 
- No later than one day before your surgery, you will receive a call from the hospital’s Pre-Anesthesia department to do a phone interview to review your medical and surgical history. They will review your medication and/or supplements you currently take. They will advise you what medications to take the day of surgery. If you wish to speak to a pre-anesthesia nurse before this visit, you may call Presbyterian Pre-Anesthesia at 505 724-6090 or Lovelace Women’s Pre- Anesthesia at 505 727-4410. 
- Make sure you complete your preoperative testing in a timely manner. - All patients 50 and older need an EKG and Chest X-Ray. 
- All patients regardless of age need a CBC and CMP. Labs can be done at Tricore preferably, if a pre-anesthesia appointment is not scheduled.

What to Bring ON THE DAY of your surgery?
- Bring a photo ID, Insurance card and necessary medications. 
- Bring CPAP machine, portable oxygen or inhaler ( if applicable ) 
- Avoid bringing any valuables or jewelry. 
- You must have someone with you that will drive you home.
